MSI Classic CR400 Webcam Driver

’s “Nexus One” phone has been stirring up plenty of interest in the past few weeks, not only as ’s next big phone after the slightly disappointing one that was on T-Mobile not so long back (apparently this is the phone that should’ve been) and the apparent lack of originality in the name(according to the Philip K. Dick family estate saying they stole it from the author’s Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? AKA Blade Runner). However all this aside a little birdie(a Voda spokesman to Engadget) let slip that the release will be “imminent” and should be shipping “within weeks”

The UK will be the first country in Europe to receive the Nexus One with the rest of Europe having to wait till later in the year.

The Nexus One is a collaboration between HTC and and from what we’ve seen it looks nice and on paper looks………nice!!! Powered by Snapdragon, OLED touchscreen, 5MP camera, Android 2.1 OS(animated wallpapers, lovely window transitions……..nice!) This could really be the next best rival to the iPhone. Hopefully when we get the full officialness we can let you all know the exact prices and dates!!

CES – have confirmed its new powered phone will be coming to us here in the UK and was actually designed “specifically with the UK in mind” (that must be a first in the tech world). Although full details about the phone weren’t spilled, when questioned about how it will feature in the UK market, had the answers. Unfortunately no release date or price

The Mini 3i packs a slimmed down version of and originally was only going to be 2G and without WiFi, but as we weren’t given the full details we’re hoping it might change to make it a reasonable phone to get and not the worlds slowest phone(for internet surfing), but from what we do know it will have :

  • 3.5” 640×360 touchscreen
  • 3MP camera
  • GPS
  • Bluetooth
  • microSD slot

Google Nexus One

Talk Android are reporting that representatives of both T-Mobile and 3UK have indicated that they are hoping to be able to carry the Google Nexus One in the future too.  One thing that does seem to be becoming clear though, the phone may not be available for sale in the shops in the UK any time soon.  In the same way you can buy an Amazon Kindle from the US, and get it shipped to the UK, it looks like Google will be handling the sale of this phone for the time being, and if you buy it from them, you can either pay for a SIM-free version, or you can buy the subsidised version, which they will then ship out to you.  Whether the Vodafone SIM ships direct is not clear, and there’s no word on whether upgrades will be available either.

Having said all that, getting other networks onboard will be key for Google’s long term plans, and T-Mobile and 3UK are obvious networks, both offering Android phones which they are happy to heavily promote.  I wonder if Vodafone will have an exclusive for a month (or 3) and then these other networks will be able to sell it too…

Rumours are also around that it may be possible to purchase the Nexus One from Google with a Vodafone SIM sooner than “Spring 2010″ implies, with a possibility it may even be within the next month.

The Tub-E Bathtub was created by Wild Terrain Designs and is a tub that combines style, comfort and luxury.  The tub is designed to look like a bucket from the future and features a staircase that swivels around the tub.  Around the edge of the tub are small LED lights.  This is perfect for creating a soft ambiance around the bathroom.

The most notable feature of the Tub-E Bathtub is the multifunctional electrical system.  The system includes options like automatic filling, automatic emptying and even an auto cleaning option is available.  The automatic cleaning feature is perfect for individuals that hate to clean their bathtub.

The Tub-E Bathtub also has a built-in heater under the seat of the tub so that the water can be adjusted to the perfect temperature. As the tub fills with water, there is an automatic touch feature available that gives individuals the choice of adding a variety of bath oils.

The Tub-E Bathtub is available in either stainless steel or copper.  The tub’s unusual design makes it a perfect bathroom fixture for individuals with contemporary style.

The e-NUVO robot is the brainchild of the Nippon Institute of Technology, ZMP, ZNUG Design, and Harada Vehicle Design.  These institutions teamed up to create a robot that could help students.  The purpose of the e-NUVO was to give children a better understanding of robots. The robot also serves as a teaching aid for elementary and junior high school students.

The e-NUVO robot stands at four feet tall.  The robot uses gyro sensors, cameras, and even has obstacle detection sensors so that it can interact efficiently with humans.  The robot is also capable of having a conversation.  The robots can be controlled either through a computer or a remote.

The designers of e-NUVO are hoping that e-NUVO will eventually be a common piece of technology used at educational institutions across Japan.

Sony Dash powered by Chumby…

Sony Dash

This is the new Sony Dash, their new Personal Application Viewer.  It features a 7″ touchscreen and will have, at launch, access to over 1000 applications “including news, calendars, weather, sports, social networking” and uses a wireless network connection to connect to the Internet.

However, the interesting thing to note within the smallprint of the press release is that it says “The new product offers free access to more than 1,000 apps from chumby industries, inc. as well as the robust audio and video content from Sony’s Bravia™ Internet video platform”.  This is very good news for Chumby, who always envisaged providing a service for other companies, as well as producing their own hardware, which they often portray as “reference hardware”, ie samples of what could be done…

It looks like the Chumby widgets don’t fill up the whole screen (they do fill the whole screen on the Chumby hardware) leaving room around the side for quick launch links, and other features; time, date, weather and music controls to be permanently displayed.

“Within the device, an internal accelerometer supports vertical flip, allowing for two optional viewing angles: upright, ideal for a table or nightstand; and tilted, perfect for a countertop. It also supports multiple user profiles and channels, allowing several members of the household to create and maintain their own customized view of the Internet.

The dash personal Internet viewer also features built-in stereo speakers as well as a USB port for simple connection to a variety of external electronic devices. Additionally, a headphone output jack gives users the option to listen privately through headphones or through external speakers.”

No word on UK availability yet though, but it will retail for $199 in the US.

Probably the most visited video site on the internet, Youtube is still growing and what with 108op resolutions videos and uploads of more than 10MB possible now, it’s only a matter of time before all the others bow to it. After all, Google owns all.

8 Awesome YouTube Embed URL Tricks

1. Embedding High Quality Videos – If you want to embed high quality videos its not possible by just pasting the code, you have to append &ap=%2526fmt%3D18 for 480×270 resolution and &ap=%2526fmt%3D22 for the 1280×720 resolution.

2. Hiding the Search Box In Embedded Videos – This happens whenever you hover your mouse over the embedded video and can get irritative at times. You can hide this search box by appending &showsearch=0 to the embed URL.

3. Autoplay Feature – When you click a Youtube Video URL, after the page loads you have to click the Play button to get it started. You can autoplay by appending &autoplay=1 to the embedded URL.

4. Disabling Related Videos – This feature can be nifty at times when you disable it especially for bloggers who don’t want their traffic to be diverted away from their site. Clicking on related videos takes you to the Youtube page which when done, 99% chances are that the user won’t return to your page again. Just add &rel=0 to the embedded URL code and done!

5. Dowload HD Videos Off Youtube – Although there are many options to download videos off Youtube, there are none to download HD videos. Navigate to KeepHD to download HD videos off Youtube.

6. Jump Time On A Video – You can start from a particular minute and second in a Youtube video instead of waiting for the interesting part to come along. Just add #t=XXmYYs where XX is the minute and YY is the seconds at the end of the URL.

7. Embedding Only A Part Of The Video – If its a long video and most of its crap except that particular time of the video, you can always embed only that part by adding &start=xxx to the embed URL where XXX represents seconds after which the video starts playing.

8. Enable Loop In The Video – You can replay the video without you clicking the play button again and again. Just add &loop=1 to the end of the embed URL to replay again and again.

Well thats all from me for now! Do you have any tricks/tips that deserve to be up here? Share it with us in our comments section.
