Apparently even today people do not know much about Mac especially at the place where I live. If I ever uttered Mac, the first thing that they can think of is pal or some kind of word to refer a friend. And for those few who know what a Mac is, they are completely clueless as to its functions. Ignorance can’t always be bliss. The other day I helped a friend of mine sync his Mac Address Book with Google contacts. He literally kissed me. Gays aside, here’s how you do it.

Before we begin, I did this on a Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leapord. It should also work on Mac OS X 10.5 Leapord.
1. First, Launch the Address book.
2. Click the Address Book Menu > Preferences.
3. Click the Accounts tab.
4. Select On My Mac in the left hand side of the box.
5. Under the Account Information tab, check Synchronize with Google Contacts and click Configure.
6. Enter your Google Account login and password and then click OK.
7. Next click Sync from the Menu Bar (which has the same icon as the MobileMe Sync icon) OR use iSync. This step is very important to execute this method.
Synchronizing Mac Address book contacts with Google contacts is very helpful especially if your a social freak and move around a lot.
